Hands-on Review of Yu Yuphoria

Finally, I have received Yu Yuphoria Smartphone from Amazon.in, which is a budget Smartphone with good specification and features. In this hands-on review, I am going to tell you the benefits and drawbacks of Yuphoria. This phone is marketed by Yu Televentures, which is a subsidiary company of Micromax.

I have been using Yuphoria YU5010 from last 11 days and this review is based on that time period only. If I feel anything needs to be added to this review, I will do that. You can also provide your own review through commenting.

Yu Yuphoria is a specification rich phone at a very low price. It comes with the latest Android version Lollipop (Cyanogen OS 12) and has the powerful Qualcomm snapdragon 410 processor which is also compatible with 64 bit. If you are gaming fan, then this processor with 2GB RAM will provide you good experience without any delay.

I have seen that budget Smartphone doesn’t have a good camera and picture quality, but Yuphoria is not under that category. It has 8MP auto focus rear camera and 5MP front camera. The picture quality of the camera is very fine under that range. I was also amazed to see its picture quality during night time and low light.

As far as screen of Yuphoria is considered, it has 5 inch IPS HD (1280*720) display with corning gorilla glass 3 to protect against scratches. Its full lamination technology gives you enhanced visibility under direct sunlight.

If you are looking for budget 4G LTE phone, then this is the phone for you. It works well with GSM, GPRS, WCDMA, and LTE networks. Yuphoria is also equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. You can also share your phone internet with others via Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth tethering and USB tethering.

Yuphoria makers have also done a good job by providing 12GB of internal space for the operating system, applications and other stuff. You also have the facility to increase the storage through external memory card. I tested it with Samsung Evo 16GB external memory card and found no issue till now.

Yuphoria comes with 2230 mAh battery which can give 7 hours of talk-time and its standby time is 160 hours. This budget Smartphone also has FM radio, AudioFX, e compass, G sensor, L sensor, proximity sensor, and 6 axis gyroscope.

Yuphoria box contains the phone (transceiver), Charger, Handsfree, battery, USB cable, User guide, Warranty card and Screen guard.

The GUI of the phone is very good and touch screen is also very responsive and I do not see any lag in using it till now. I also become a fan of its charger and fast charging technology. Your phone will get charged in less than 1.30 hours. Even I started charging my Samsung Note II phone with it. AnTuTu benchmark test gave score of 23539, which is pretty good for this range of Smartphone. All above features and specification will force you to buy Yuphoria.

I also find some missing features in this phone which can be considered its drawbacks. First the phone don’t make any sound while plugging the charger, so you can only confirm it by seeing the phone screen after unlocking it.

Also, the phone don’t have any LED indicator’s and center menu physical button. If you are a person like me who checks phone notification through LED light then you will be disappointed.

As said above, this is the budget Smartphone and has a price of only Rs.6,999. This phone is a product of India and is manufactured at Bhagwati Products Ltd. Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.
